As a premier soccer club in our community we strive to be uniquely identified as a professional training program for youth athletes; fostering the individual skill, knowledge, and love it requires to play the game for players of all ages.

Troy Wheeler - Director of Coahcing

Troy Wheeler is a passionate soccer coach with the ability to develop and nourish athletes by creating a supportive environment which builds opportunities for success. Nurturing a new environment where my skills can be utilized to develop players, improve technical standards, increase sportsmanship, and support academic achievement while developing a strong talent pool.

Josh Nelson - President/ Technical Consultant

Josh Nelson began his coaching career in the spring of 2000. He was hired as the Assistant Director of Coaching for Albuquerque United F.C. in 2005. In 2010 Josh became the Director of Coaching for the club. In 2012, Sting Soccer Club started an organization in New Mexico. Josh chose to join the club as the Youth Director. He had the opportunity to move to San Diego CA in 2014 as a team coach, and made the move. Josh returned to New Mexico to be closer to family in 2015, and worked for New Mexico Rush as a Youth Program director until 2017. He has since stepped away from the game to focus on other interests. And, is now the volunteer President/ Technical Consultant for Albuquerque Futbol Academy.
